Bhubaneswar: The Subhadra Yojana, an initiative by the state government aimed at enhancing women's financial independence, is set to incorporate skill training programs. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who oversees the Women and Child Development and Mission Shakti departments, made this announcement during a media event on Friday. She highlighted that these skill training initiatives would further empower women beneficiaries throughout the state.

Parida recognized the essential role of journalists in sharing accurate information and raising awareness about the scheme. The Subhadra Yojana has already positively impacted over 1 crore women, and the introduction of skill training is expected to enhance economic independence among participants. During the event, which saw participation from more than 200 media professionals, including senior editors and reporters, the Deputy CM passionately addressed the media's contribution to the scheme's success. She stated, “Your ongoing engagement has significantly amplified the reach and impact of Subhadra Yojana.”

Emphasizing the government's commitment to transparency, Parida assured that all feedback and suggestions would be carefully considered to improve the scheme's implementation. This collaborative approach reflects the government's dedication to adaptability and openness. Launched as a vital welfare initiative for women, Subhadra Yojana has already demonstrated significant success in connecting women with necessary resources and benefits. Parida also discussed how the new training programs would equip women with essential skills for economic participation in various sectors, including rural agriculture, small businesses, and urban industries.
